Wheaton Abortion Clinic & Women’s Health
At Womens Aid Center, we perform abortions from early pregnancy to up to 13 weeks after the first day of your last period. We offer both surgical and medical abortions. All abortion services are completely confidential, and no consent is needed from a parent or guardian. Additionally, no information will be shared with anyone unless your written consent is given.
A surgical abortion is simple, safe, and short. The procedure on its own takes anywhere between 3 and 5 minutes. Once completed, you will be able to rest and recover in our post-op area. Our medical staff is trained and experienced in performing this treatment. It is extremely safe, and it is a common procedure. Surgical abortion can be performed between 6 and 13 weeks.
Medical Abortion (Abortion Pill)
Medical abortion is an abortion that is induced by medication rather than surgery. Depending on your condition, the pill can be used up to 10 weeks after your last period. We offer medical abortion using two types of medication.
- Mifepristone blocks the action of progesterone, a hormone needed to maintain pregnancy
- Misoprostol causes the uterus to expel the products of conception
Both of these tablets are taken orally.

Our clinic is completely sympathetic with you throughout the entire process. From pre-care, treatment, and aftercare, you can expect our entire clinic to be there for you. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the abortion procedure, don’t hesitate to ask us.
Making Sure Everything Went Well
After both medical and surgical procedures, our clinic provides follow-up for any patient that is experiencing problems after the procedure, as well as patients that are interested in discussing the use of birth control. Follow-ups are recommended 2-3 weeks post-procedure.
